MMA Champion Upset Kick a la Bruce Lee

Episode II: Spider Vs Okami Date: January 20 2006 Place: Honolulu Hawaii Outcome: Disqualified from Tournament Round 1 For the second installment, we chose this upset, Anderson Silva Vs. Yushin Okami. Anderson was the favorite for the Rumble on the Rock 8 tournament. Everyone wanted to get a shot at Anderson. 2 and a half minutes into the first round, Anderson is on the floor, Yushin is kneeling in front of him between his legs. Anderson throws an incredible kick that knocks Yushin out. The rules say you can't kick an opponent when he's on the ground. You would think it applies when one is standing and the other on the ground. Guess again, even if you're on your back and the other guy over you on his knees and punching you, it still counts as kicking an opponent while on the ground. Yushin did not recover within the allotted time so Anderson got disqualified. That was a bummer for everyone, but that kick, still a piece of art a la Bruce Lee, such precision and power, just incredible. Enjoy watching and please remember to like and share with your friends.
